Potential annexation areas

The largest remaining urban unincorporated areas, referred to as potential annexation areas or PAAs, include:

• East Federal Way
• East Renton
• Fairwood
• Klahanie
• North Highline
• West Hill

Small annexations

In addition to the ten designated major Potential Annexation Areas, there are smaller scattered urban unincorporated neighborhoods totaling about 22,000 people. For more information on the status of annexation in these areas, contact the Boundary Review Board. King County is supportive of all urban unincorporated areas joining cities, however, the Annexation Initiative only targets the ten major Potential Annexation Areas.
