Unidentified remains

The King County Medical Examiner's Office is seeking the public's assistance in identifying cold cases of unidentified remains. Anyone with information on these case is requested to call the King County Medical Examiner's Office at 206-731-3232, ext. 1.

If you know someone who has gone missing, report them. Once a missing person is in our system, we can use familial DNA to help make connections to any unidentified remains brought into our office.

Unidentified adult white male: Case #26-0422

  • Found on February 14, 2026 on a bridge support structure in Lake Washington, under the SR 520 bridge near Medina
  • Adult, white male
  • Age: Estimated between 18 and 30
  • Height: 5’8"
  • Weight: 161 lbs.
  • Hair color: brown
  • Eye color: green
  • Tattoos: Small cross tattoo on left hand, near the thumb; small heart tattoo just below left hip
  • Found wearing a camouflage "US Army" jacket over a black leather jacket, green pants, and brown work boots, and carrying a Bible. "Ridenhour" was written on the inside collar label and a "Ridenhour" patch embroidered to the right chest of the camouflage jacket.

  • Skeletal remains found October 10, 2022, inside a tent within a homeless encampment in the 1900 block of 11th Ave S., Seattle
  • Adult, presumably white biologically male, but may have identified as female based on clothing and belongings
  • Short-to-medium length brown hair but were wearing a long blond wig at the time of their death
  • Age: estimated between 45 and 60
  • Height: between 5'5" and 6'
  • Healed injuries to the ribs, pelvis, and feet, possibly as the result of an accident during life
  • Found wearing a black bra and fishnet stockings with dark-colored shorts, a light-colored top with birds, floral designs, and a heart-shaped lock printed on it, paired with a dark-colored outer shirt, a dark-colored hoodie, black high-heeled boots, and a makeshift leopard-print belt

  • Found January 12, 2019 in the 700 block of 1st Street, Kirkland
  • Adult, mixed race female
  • Age: 30-60 years old
  • Height: 5'5"
  • Weight: 149 lbs.
  • She has an old caesarean section scar
  • At the time of death, she was wearing an unnamed medical facility bracelet bearing the name "DOE, JO", with an admission date of 1/10/19

  • Age: 25-50 years old
  • Multiple pairs of shoes found at site, ranging in size from 9.5-13 (most size 11)
  • Defect in bone above left temple, possibly an old surgical shunt

  • Found with the body was a bible with "Daniel Lyles 02-18-60" and the date, 10/26/94 handwritten inside
