King County EMS Communities of Care collaborates with care facilities (Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, Adult Family Homes and Medical Clinics) on the 911 calls requesting EMS, with focus on effective and efficient utilization of our medical system. The program builds relationships between care communities and service providers working toward the shared goal of delivering quality care to patients.
We provide data to facility administrator on calls with the goal of identify strengths and focus areas.
We provide training to all staff on:
- King County's tiered EMS response
- How to be prepared when calling 911
- What EMS responders will need when they arrive
- Requests for EMS when a POLST is in place
Training is FREE and staff receive CE credit!
