Disposal guidance for households

  Accepted at hazardous waste collection sites

Gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene, propane, and other fuels are accepted at hazardous waste collection sites. 

Fuels must be in an approved safety can labeled "gasoline" and you may request to have your gas can returned to you 

  • All containers must be 5 gallons or less
  • Limit: 25 gallons or less per trip

 Empty gas canisters and containers can go in the garbage. Vent them for two or three days and keep lids open.
