We are currently only offering this class online through Zoom. The Zoom platform is free to use.

Cost
The seminar costs $40 per parent. If eligible, you can email parentseminar@kingcounty.gov before you register to request a fee waiver code.

Interpreters
Interpretive services need 2 weeks notice. If under “Interpreter Request” there is a “Sales ended" message, please select a later date.
Zoom invites
It is important to register with an email address you actually use. This is where we send the Zoom invite and seminar materials. If you cannot get to this info, you will miss the seminar and have to register and pay again.
Credit and certificates
You must stay for the entire Zoom webinar to receive credit. We verify attendance with short poll questions throughout the seminar. Failure to complete the poll questions will result in having to register and pay for another seminar. If you have technical difficulty with the polls, please write down the questions and your answers and email them to parentseminar@kingcounty.gov immediately after the class.
We issue a certificate of completion within 1 week of the seminar. A copy is also emailed to you for your personal records. The original certificate is filed with King County Superior Court.
If you don't have a current King County case, you will need to file the certificate with the appropriate court once you have a case number.
