Story
The Metropolitan King County Council on Tuesday unanimously confirmed the reappointment of Linwood Robinson to the King County Transit Advisory Commission. His appointment is for a two-year-term expiring on August 31, 2023.
“As a long-time transit rider with a substantial commute from south King County to northeast Seattle, Linwood has provided a valuable perspective during his time on the Transit Advisory Commission,” said Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer. “With traffic near pre-pandemic levels and workers returning to in-person work, Linwood’s prior experience on the Commission will be vital as King County works to determine our transit needs going forward.”
A resident of Federal Way, Linwood is a graduate of Community College of the Air Force and Ashford University. Prior to his current position as an electronics technician for the National Weather Service, he served as a 1st Sgt. In the United States Air Force.
The Transit Advisory Commission’s mission is to improve transit services by advising Metro’s staff members and general manager, the King County Executive and Council, local jurisdictions, and subarea transportation boards concerning transit policy issues.
