Today the King County Council approved the reappointment of Keith Livingston, who resides in King County District 7, to the King County Conservation Futures Advisory Committee. The committee, which consists of 16 members, recommends the allocation of Conservation Futures tax levy (CFT) funds to purchase or preserve open space lands in unincorporated King County and its cities. 

“CFT funds have helped to protect and preserve many of the environmental jewels in King County since the early 1970s,” said Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer, who recommended Mr. Livingston’s reappointment. “Through his continued service on this Committee, Keith will help King County maintain its position as a leader in environmental preservation.”

The Committee reviews applications for CFT funds and recommends the allocation of CFT funds to the King County Executive and Council, which make the final funding awards. The appointment is for a four-year term expiring at the end of 2025.
