The councilmembers presented $5 million that will go to fund construction of senior housing near the future location of the Graham Street Light Rail Station in South Seattle.

The complex will have 94 units and will be available to seniors at 30-50 percent of the Area Median Income. It will be located in a neighborhood that is focused on the creation of transit-oriented development.
The funding received for the project is part of the $100 million approved by the Council in the 2019-2020 Budget to help build and preserve workforce housing throughout the region. The funds for the Graham Street project are part of an allocation of $40 million directed toward shovel-ready projects.
Construction of the facility is set to begin later this year.
