Keith Livingston Appointed to King County Conservation Futures Advisory Committee

Summary

The appointment is for the remainder of a four-year term expiring at the end of 2020.

Story

The Metropolitan King County Council today gave its unanimous approval to the appointment of Keith Livingston, who resides in County Council District 7, to the King County Conservation Futures Advisory Committee.

The committee, which consists of sixteen members, recommends the allocation of Conservation Futures Tax Levy (CFT) funds to purchase or preserve open space lands in unincorporated King County and its cities.

“CFT funds have helped to protect and preserve many of the environmental jewels in King County since the early 1970s,” said Councilmember Pete von Reichbauer, who recommended Mr. Livingston’s appointment. “By serving on this committee, Keith will have the opportunity to continue this work and to help King County maintain its position as a leader in environmental preservation.”

The Conservation Futures Advisory Committee reviews applications for CFT funds and recommends the allocation of CFT funds to the King County Executive and Council, which make the final funding awards.

The appointment is for the remainder of a four-year term expiring at the end of 2020.
