Story
Metropolitan King County Councilmember Larry Phillips released this statement after today’s vote by the Washington state House of Representatives adopting marriage equality:“Today is a proud day for the people of Washington as all people in our state gain the equal right to marry. I commend the state legislature and Governor Gregoire for passing legislation to end marriage discrimination in Washington.
“I was proud to join my colleagues on the King County Council last month in declaring our support for gay men and women having the right to marry.
