“I attended the Suncadia Conference with Scott the last three days and I join my colleagues in expressing shock at his death.

“Scott was not only a good legislator, but a good parent to his two kids and a dedicated husband to Alison.

“While Scott and I represented different portions of the County and had different political backgrounds, I considered him a close friend and ally in making government accountable in our region.

“He was respected by all who worked with him for his integrity.”
