Metropolitan King County Councilmember Reagan Dunn issued this statement on the arrests in Seattle of two men charged with terrorism and firearms-related charges associated with a plot to attack a military processing station:

“As a former federal prosecutor serving in the Terrorism and Violent Crime Unit of the Seattle U.S. Attorney’s office, I was trained to be on guard for threats of domestic terrorism such as this. This incident is a chilling reminder of the threats we face right here in King County.

“It's one more reminder that to maintain safety in our community, we must remain vigilant and support the important work of our law enforcement community.

“Please join me in thanking all of the hard working men and women who stopped this deadly plot.”
