Make a report
Click the Report a Lost Pet button above to add your pet's information to the 24PetConnect database. This external link is provided as a resource. RASKC does not control or review the content. Even after adding your pet's information to the database, you should still check for your missing pet in person at the Pet Adoption Center in Kent during our normal business hours.
Search the database
Once you have added your missing pet's information to 24PetConnect, you can use the View Found Pets button above to look through the database of stray pets that have been brought in to the Pet Adoption Center in Kent or reported as found and being held at another location.
Check other shelters
Even if you live in our service area, we recommend checking all local shelters when looking for a lost pet. Stray pets can sometimes travel long distances, and people who find them will generally take them to the nearest shelter.
Free Ride Home for licensed pets
When we receive a stray pet, we will try to identify the pet and call its owner. This is why pet licenses are so important. A licensed pet can be returned to you faster. If your licensed pet is wearing its tag and is picked up by one of our animal control officers, we will attempt to deliver the pet directly to your home.
Stray pet holding time
If a pet does not have a license or ID tag, or if we cannot return it home right away, we will impound the animal and house it at the Pet Adoption Center in Kent for safekeeping. Unlicensed stray animals, or licensed pets that are not wearing their tag, are held for three days to allow owners to redeem them. Licensed pets wearing their tag are held for a minimum of five days.
