Health services for the homeless

Public Health — Seattle & King County works to improve the health of people living homeless through a continuum of activities ranging from system change to health promotion to treatment. Providing health care for people experiencing homelessness represents our largest body of work.

Health Care for the Homeless Network

The Health Care for the Homeless Network (HCHN) provides health care services for people experiencing homelessness in King County and provides leadership to help change the conditions that deprive our neighbors of home and health.

Mobile medical care for people living homeless

The Mobile Medical program provides basic medical care, dental care, and social services to homeless individuals and families living in Seattle and south King County. At each site a full free meal is served by the church. The program does not charge a fee and does not require insurance.

Kids Plus

Kids Plus is a multidisciplinary team of nurses and social workers, addressing the health and social needs of children and families experiencing homelessness. We specialize in medical case management, yet we work to address the many complex needs that impact the health and well-being of children.

Public Health's Role at the Intersection of Health and Homelessness

Partnering with people with lived experience of homelessness is central to our work.
