Summary

Public Health – Seattle & King County is soliciting project proposals through a Request for Proposals (RFP) for projects that provide harm reduction and drug user health services in community-based settings in the City of Seattle. The specific objectives of this RFP include:

  • Supporting community-based organizations to sustain or expand harm reduction services and drug user health programs.
  • Providing drug user health services, including overdose prevention and naloxone distribution; HIV and hepatitis C screening, testing, and linkage to care; wound care and other infection prevention services; drug checking services; and care navigation for health and social services (including medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD)).
  • Supporting connection to services for people in Seattle who use drugs from communities disproportionately impacted by overdose and/ or who are not traditionally engaged by public health programs including: people who are unhoused, people who reside in permanent supportive housing programs, people who are pregnant, LGBTQIA2+ communities, people who engage in sex work, Native or Indigenous communities, Black communities, Latinx communities, and people with criminal-legal system involvement.
