Puget Sound Taxpayer Accountability Account
Investment priorities for the Puget Sound Taxpayer Accountability Account (PSTAA) aim to address current gaps in our education landscape and to improve educational outcomes for historically underserved youth by: Increasing and improving access to early learning facilities; Increasing culturally relevant youth programs and improving college and career access and supports.
Youth and Amateur Sports Grants
The Youth and Amateur Sports grants funds youth sports facilities (capital and operating funds).
Parks Levy Grants
The voter-approved 2020-2025 Parks, Recreation, Trails, and Open Space Levy allocates approximately $110 million over six years for four competitive grant programs: capital and open space; aquatic facilities; healthy communities and parks; and open space - river corridors.
- Capital and Open Space: Funds a broad range of park initiatives, including land acquisition, park planning, and development of passive and active parks (including indoor and outdoor recreation facilities) and local trails.
- Aquatic Facilities: Funds capital projects for new or existing aquatic facilities, including acquisition, planning, construction of new facilities, or renovation or expansion of existing facilities.
- Healthy Communities and Parks: Funds projects and programs that provide new, increased, or enhanced access to recreation, parks, and open space in underserved communities, including investing in capacity-building.
- Open Space – River Corridors: Funds projects that restore river habitat, reduce risks from flooding, and enhance recreation opportunities.
WaterWorks Grant Program
The WaterWorks Grant Program provides funding for projects that improve water quality in the service area for King County's regional wastewater system. This grant program complements the water quality mission of the Wastewater Treatment Division.
Best Starts for Kids
Best Starts for Kids (BSK) is King County initiative to improve health and well-being by investing in early intervention and prevention for children, youth, families, and communities. The BSK Blog features community meetings and open Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Find open funding opportunities.

Veterans, Seniors, and Human Services Levy
The King County Veterans, Seniors and Human Services Levy connects servicemembers and veterans, residents age 55 or older, and resilient communities to programs and services that help them live healthy, productive and meaningful lives. It helps individuals and families transition to affordable housing, get job training, find employment, receive behavioral health treatment, and more.
