Council’s review of the King County budget
The King County Council has begun reviewing a proposed $10.2 billion budget for King County for 2025.
The Budget Committee will offer multiple opportunities for the public to learn about and weigh in on the Council’s budget priorities. The budget review process began September 23rd with the transmission of the King County Executive’s proposed budget, and will wrap up in late November, when the Council is expected to approve a finalized budget.
The schedule includes upcoming town hall meetings taking place around King County and budget panels. The panels are meetings that focus on specific budget issues. In addition to these, the Council will hold meetings to take final action on the proposal at committee and full Council. Dates for these will be shared once they are confirmed.
Our budget panels began the week of October 7th. There are three more the week of Oct 14th. Please learn more about how to participate or watch here.
