Executive Constantine issues local Proclamation of Emergency
To assist in responding to violence and theft associated with protests in several cities, King County Executive Dow Constantine has issued a local Proclamation of Emergency.

King County Executive Dow Constantine, in consultation with Public Health – Seattle & King County leaders, announced that pending state approval, King County will begin to re-open some business activity with limited or modified openings for a number of sectors.
Regional Homelessness Authority Governing Committee Members named, first meeting convenes remotely May 21
King County Executive Dow Constantine and Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan today announced the membership of the inaugural Governing Committee of the King County Regional Homelessness Authority and the date for the first meeting. Due to the continuing Public Health order calling for social distancing and suspension of all gatherings, the meeting scheduled for May 21, 2020 will be held remotely.
Elliott Avenue modular pilot project opens to offer shelter beds and services to fight COVID-19
King County Executive Dow Constantine and King County Councilmember Jeanne Kohl-Welles joined staff of Catholic Community Services in touring the new modular pilot shelter opening in May in Seattle’s Interbay neighborhood to provide safe housing and 24/7 onsite services in response to COVID-19 to help people experiencing homelessness.
