King County Archives
We preserve and provide access to King County government records of enduring historical value. Government records are essential for increasing government transparency and protecting the rights of all people. Records in our care range from County legislation, Council meeting minutes, County Executive orders, historical photographs, County agency reports, historical maps, and recorded real estate documents.
Records at Other Agencies
The Archives holds many King County records, but not all of them. For example, we don't hold name change records, divorce decrees, birth and death certificates, or court case files.
