Real Estate Services
The Real Estate Services (RES) section supports the Facilities Management Division, various King County agencies, and public by offering a diverse range of functions. These functions include the acquisition of properties, requests for easements, lease negotiation, property management services, sale of surplus or tax title property, and overseeing a centralized inventory that tracks all County-owned real property interests. Additionally, Real Estate Services processes applications for utility franchises and permits for use of county property.
Using King County real property
There are several different types of permits for use of King County real property that can be granted by Real Estate Services. Some are available to the general public and others are only available to franchised utilities. Applications and instructions for each permit type can be found their specific pages linked below. Buying, selling, and leasing property
Real Estate Services also manages the buying, selling, and leasing of King County property.
