Second measles case identified in Washington state
Public Health – Seattle & King County and Snohomish County Health Department are investigating a positive case of measles, identified on March 17, 2025, in an adult resident of Snohomish County. There is no risk of measles to the general public from this new case.

Public Health reports first pediatric flu deaths of the 2024-25 flu season
Public Health has learned that two children in King County have died from complications of the flu. The first was an elementary-age child who passed away on February 14, 2025. The second was a preschool-age child who passed away on February 21, 2025.

First measles case of 2025 in Washington state identified in a King County infant
Public Health – Seattle & King County is informing the community of a confirmed measles case in an infant, with possible exposures at multiple locations throughout King County. Exposed individuals should check to make sure they have been vaccinated against measles.
