Community Health Improvement Plan
We are excited to announce the launch of our first ever Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP). The CHIP is a 5-year plan to meaningfully improve the health of King County communities. It is developed in collaboration with our community partners and is an opportunity for deep engagement and shared priority-setting around our collective actions to improve our community’s health. Planning is underway and the CHIP is expected to be complete in late 2025.

How will our partners be involved?
Informed by existing community-identified priorities, CHIP partners will use data from the King County Community Health Needs Assessment to:
- Identify priority issues
- Determine measurable objectives
- Implement collective strategies
The CHIP leverages and amplifies the priorities of partners throughout King County as well as Public Health's new strategic plan. In the Spring and Summer of 2025, we are convening partner organizations from across the public health system in King County to develop the CHIP. Attendees include representatives from hospital systems, community health centers, Native/Indigenous partners, community-based organizations, philanthropic partners, schools of public health, Public Health-Seattle & King County, and the King County Board of Health.
Stay tuned as we update and add additional information to this page!
