Skyway Park Project

Project update:

This project is now complete. Another capital project happening at Skyway Park is a future community center. Please go to this webpage for more information.

Improvements made to Skyway Park include:

North end:

  • A new playground and play equipment
  • A new mini turf soccer arena
  • New paved pathways
  • Security lighting along the new pathway
  • Improved ADA access from the parking lot to park
  • Addition of two parking spaces
  • Rehabilitation of one softball field
  • New post and rail fencing between the parking lot and park

South end:

  • Pavement upgrades to the basketball court (coming summer 2024)
  • Two new basketball hoops at full court
  • Two new convertible basketball/hockey goals at cross court with artwork from a local artist in partnership with the Seattle Kraken
  • Four new on-demand lights for the basketball court
  • Repair of the existing paved pathway
  • Improved ADA access for the parking lot to park
  • Addition of security lighting
  • Installation of a new six-foot chain-link fence along the park boundary
