Apply for Alien Firearm License (AFL)
Apply for an AFL if you have never had one OR your existing AFL will expire in 90 days or less.
There is no renewal process for an Alien Firearms License. Alien Firearms Licenses are good for two (2) years, and upon expiration, they are no longer valid.
An application for a new (original) Alien Firearm License may be submitted up to 90 days before your current license expires. Eligibility to possess a firearm will be determined upon results of new application.
If your Alien Firearm License expires, you will no longer be able to possess a firearm or Concealed Pistol License.

An AFL can only be issued to residents of WA in residing in King County as a Non-Resident Alien. **we do not issue AFL to persons who do not reside within King County.
Must bring list: **no substitutions accepted**
- Valid Passport
- Valid Visa
- I-94 printout
- Proof of Gun Club Membership
OR
Valid WA State Hunting License (cannot expire within 60 days of application)
