Property specific development conditions

Property specific development conditions are unique rules applicable to specific properties that add to the existing zoning laws found in our Zoning section. These additional rules are often due to unique characteristics of the property in question.

Development conditions

This information is powered by the Districts Report provided by the King County GIS Center. The list of development conditions applicable to the parcel is found under the "King County planning and critical areas designations" heading. When a zoning designation includes development conditions it will have additional letters added after the base zoning designation.

Definitions:

P-suffix

"-P" means one or more P-Suffixes (Property specific development conditions) apply. P-suffixes reduce the uses allowed in the base zoning designation on a small number of properties as part of the area zoning process or zoning reclassifications.

Example: AB-P01

Special district overlay

"-SO" means one or more special district overlays apply. Special district overlays also reduce the uses allowed in the base zoning designation but can apply to larger groups of properties as part of the area zoning process.

Example: SO-123

Demonstration project area

"-DPA" indicates a demonstration project area. Demonstration project areas increase the uses allowed in the base zoning to test new experimental land use and planning regulations in a small area.

Example: DPA-(Description)
