Some power restored at King County Department of Development and Environmental Services Services limited for remainder of the day

Summary

All of the services of the King County Department of Development and Environmental Services (DDES) in Renton will be closed for the rest of the day due to a power outage.

Story

Some power has been restored and limited services will continue for the remainder of the day at the King County Department of Development and Environmental Services (DDES) in Renton.

The outage was due to a malfunction in a major transformer that provides power to the facility at 900 Oakesdale Ave. SW in Renton.

Power crews are working on the problem and while there is full phone service, staff will only have limited computer service for the rest of the day.

DDES is closed on Fridays. The office expects to resume full operations Monday morning. DDES hours and locations are available online.
