Dunn applauds Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers' ‘fair-minded, honest’ career as she announces retirement from Congress

King County Councilmember Reagan Dunn on Thursday issued the following statement after U.S. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers announced she would not seek re-election to her seat in Congress representing Washington’s 5^th District:

“During her nearly 20 years as a Congresswoman, Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers has developed a reputation as being fair-minded, honest, and kind to everyone. She is a trailblazer in Congress and a dedicated public servant for the people she represents. Her choice not to run for re-election is a loss for all of Washington State, as we are losing an excellent member of Congress with significant influence in D.C. I wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”
