Upthegrove chosen to Chair Council again in 2024

The King County Council on Tuesday voted for Councilmember Dave Upthegrove to remain as Chair of the Council in 2024.

“I appreciate the support I have received from my colleagues to serve as Chair of the King County Council once again in 2024,” Upthegrove said. “We must continue our work to be a model for democracy and the democratic processes that are the foundation of our country and ensure that we are guided by respect for the people we serve and for each other.”

Upthegrove will also serve as Chair of the Employment and Administration Committee, Vice Chair of Government Accountability and Oversight, and sit on the Committee of the Whole, the Regional Transit Committee, and the Regional Water Quality Committee
