Biography
Judge Coreen Wilson was appointed to the King County Superior Court bench by Governor Inslee in 2022.
Prior to her judicial appointment, Judge Wilson was a civil trial lawyer with more than 22 years of experience in the courtroom. She has tried more than forty cases and has litigated hundreds more, including the nation’s first binding civil jury trial to be litigated via Zoom. This experience generated a passion for technology and an innovative approach trial advocacy via video conference. She quickly became known as a leader in this field and has spoken across the country regarding remote litigation. She recently authored a practice guide on remote witness testimony for Lexis Nexis, which is currently in the editorial review process.
Judge Wilson is a member of the Executive Board of the Washington Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates, was named a Super Lawyer by Washington Law & Politics Magazine, and was recognized as a Top Attorney in Washington by Seattle Met Magazine. She is an instructor with the National Institute of Trial Advocacy and recently taught at NITA’s Women in Trial seminar. She has published a number of articles in a variety of legal journals and has presented at numerous seminars. She volunteers her time to teach trial advocacy to young lawyers in programs for a variety of organizations across the country.
Judge Wilson currently serves as Co-Chair of the Civil Law & Rules Committee of the Superior Court Judge's Association.
Requests:
Email the bailiff to schedule motions requiring oral argument. Include case name, number, and name of opposing counsel, and any deadlines that may be approaching that should be considered when scheduling. Such motions must be confirmed by the bailiff.
Do not confirm motions without oral argument. Set these in compliance with KCLR's notice requirements.
Please comply with LCR 7(b)(5)(B)(iv) which provides: “Parties should highlight those parts [of the exhibits] upon which they place substantial reliance.”
Please notify the bailiff to strike a motion or if the case has settled.
Department 30 is a paperless court and prefers all working copies submitted via e-working copies. Parties must submit a Word version of all proposed orders. You may submit your proposed order via the e-filing portal by using the e-working copies application, or by email to wilson.court@kingcounty.gov.

Original deposition transcripts should be sealed and published in open court in front of the jury, and when they are used for impeachment of testimony (the clerk opening the original that is sealed), the original deposition will be filed in the case file and not treated as an exhibit. Deposition transcripts that are not used (a.k.a. "published") are not filed and returned to counsel.
