Judge Lisa Paglisotti
Judge Lisa Paglisotti was appointed to King County District Court’s West Division in 2016. She has served in all of the court’s three divisions: West, East and South. She also has presided in the Court’s Regional Mental Health Court, Regional Veterans Court, and Community Court, which strive to engage, support and facilitate the sustained stability of individuals with special needs within the criminal justice system, while reducing recidivism and increasing community safety.
Judge Paglisotti came to the bench with more than 30 years of experience in the justice system. Previously, she served King County’s indigent population as a public defender for more than 22 years, and served our community’s youth as a juvenile probation counselor and as a juvenile corrections officer.
Active in the Court’s management, Judge Paglisotti currently serves on the King County District Court Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee (DEI). She has previously served on the Court’s Budget Committee, Personnel Committee, and Probation Committee. She is an active member of the National Association of Women Judges and volunteers for community mock trial programs.
A graduate of the University of Washington with B.A. degrees in Sociology and in Society and Justice, Judge Paglisotti earned her J.D. from Seattle University School of Law (formerly the University of Puget Sound School of Law).
