Overview
The King County Sheriff's Office (KCSO) invites college students with a strong interest in criminal justice to apply for our unpaid internship program. This opportunity is ideal for those looking to develop practical skills and gain insight into law enforcement operations while earning academic credit.
Internship Details
- Eligibility: Must be enrolled in college-level courses and a minimum of 18 years old. Please consult your academic advisor for verification.
- Environment: Internships are administrative in nature and conducted in an office setting.
- Enrichment Activities: Interns may participate in ride-alongs, unit tours, training exercises, and job shadowing experiences.
- Availability: Positions vary throughout the year. Flexible scheduling is available; however, evening and weekend hours are generally not offered.

- Reviewed and initialed "Automatic Disqualifier" document (confirming none of the disqualifiers apply)

- Incomplete application packets will not be considered.
- A comprehensive background investigation, including a polygraph examination, is required upon selection.
