“I want to congratulate Boeing on their tenacity and perseverance that has led us to the celebration of this significant contract award today. Thanks to the effort and diligence of talented Boeing workers, as well as the wonderful advocacy work done by our federal congressional delegation and Governor Gregoire, we will all experience a significant boost to our local economy.

“This will provide thousands of local family-wage jobs, and it will solidify the aerospace cluster that is a major foundation of our regional economy. The contract will position us to help our economy recover faster, and make us stronger going forward.
