Revenue Manual
The National Association of State and Local Budget Officials (NASLB) recommends that local governments create Revenue Manuals to document key revenue sources, factors, history, and other critical details. OEFA produced King County’s first Revenue Manual in 2015 and updated it annually from 2016 to 2020, before adopting a biennial update schedule for 2022 and 2024. The current version, completed in 2024, will be updated again in 2025. The Revenue Manual provides an overview of King County's major revenue sources, including details on the enactment of levies, individual tax levies, and a 10-year history of revenue data. It serves as a valuable resource for answering questions about specific levies imposed by King County.
Affordable Housing Report
OEFA conducted a comprehensive study on the economic impact of affordable housing investments in King County. This report highlighted the broader benefits of these investments, using an economic impact model developed by Regional Economic Models Inc. (REMI) for both King County and Washington State. The analysis, supported by an economist from REMI, explored an “ideal” scenario in which King County secures sufficient funding to create all the affordable housing units projected to meet demand through 2044.
Assessed Value and Property Tax Report (Coming Soon)
OEFA developed a report analyzing trends in King County property values and taxes. The report includes summary charts and graphics that illustrate key aspects of the property tax system. To stay current, the report will be updated annually to reflect the latest trends in property values and taxation. (Note: This report is due for revision and will be finalized before publication.)
