Title VI compliance by the Road Services Division
Overview
As a recipient of federal financial assistance, King County is required to comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and subsequent nondiscrimination laws. Title VI compliance by the Department of Local Services, including the Road Services Division, is monitored annually by the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) in accordance with United States Department of Transportation (USDOT) requirements.
The Department of Local Services Title VI Plan (842KB) was updated and approved in September 2022. Annual compliance documents for the reporting period of April through March are submitted to WSDOT in May. These include the USDOT Standard Title VI/Nondiscrimination Assurances and Title VI Accomplishments and Goals Report. Annual documents are available here:
