Clough Creek Bridge #909B Load Upgrade Project

Project completed in August 2023

Clough Creek Bridge

The short-span bridge over Clough Creek on 415th Way SE is old and had a 22-ton load weight limit. The load limit restriction was removed upon completion of this project.

Overview

Clough Creek Bridge is a 16-foot-long span located on 415th Way SE at SE 141st Street south of North Bend, WA.

More than 1,300 vehicles use the 73-year-old bridge every day. The support girders under the previous bridge deck were old and could no longer bear the weight of commercial trucks. This project removed the deteriorating concrete beams and replaced them with new prefabricated concrete girders. These upgrades restored the bridge to its original strength and makes it possible for trucks heavier than 22 tons to use the bridge.
