"The legislation approved today differs from what I proposed, but it remains a bold, innovative response to our goal of unifying a fractured homelessness system. It will reduce disproportionality, improve the use of data, and put the right people at the table to create and implement solutions.

"We can now begin to stand up the new King County Regional Homelessness Authority, and transform how we help all people find a safe, secure place to call home."
