Platting and boundary line adjustment
Platting and boundary line adjustments involve reviewing the water sources for the proposed lots. Without an approved water source, a lot may not be developed or approved for subdivision. Please visit and review the Permitting for subdivisions and boundary line adjustments page for more information about subdivision and boundary line adjustment permitting requirements.
When planning and applying for a subdivision, please review:
- Preliminary Short Subdivision Application Instructions (199 KB)
- Subdivision pre-application report (512 KB)
- Application for final subdivision (505 KB)
Important note for approved water sources for platting and boundary line adjustments:
- Water source approval is required for new lots, subdivisions, and boundary line adjustments.
- Subdivisions in which the properties are less than 5 acres require the use of a new, existing, or expanding Group A or Group B public water system.
- Only subdivisions where each new lot created is 20 acres or more may use new individual private wells.
