Low-barrier services
Expanding the availability of low barrier HIV prevention and care services in our community is critical to ending the HIV epidemic in King County. Low barrier services include walk-in access to sexual health services, PrEP, HIV care, social, mental health, and substance use services.
Some sites offer incentives to help people engage in HIV prevention or care when meeting their basic needs can otherwise make it too difficult to do so.
North Seattle: Aurora Clinic
Aurora Clinic is located at Aurora Commons in north Seattle and primarily serves persons of all genders living houseless and at risk for or living with HIV in north Seattle. In addition to clinical services, they are housing a hygiene center for clients to do laundry as needed. Aurora Clinic is open on Mondays and Tuesdays.
North Seattle: SHE Clinic
SHE Clinic is located at Aurora Commons in north Seattle and serves female-identified persons. SHE Clinic is open on Wednesdays and Thursdays. During the initial stage of EHE, King County expanded days of operation for SHE Clinic. SHE Clinic is located at Aurora Commons in north Seattle and serves female-identified persons living houseless and at risk for or living with HIV in north Seattle. SHE Clinic is now funded through non-EHE sources, however SHE Clinic is open and welcomes clients on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Central Seattle: MAX Clinic
The Max Clinic is located at the Harborview Medical Center campus and is designed to engage the hardest to reach persons living with HIV in King County. PrEP services are available on site as well.
Central Seattle: MOD Clinic
The Mod Clinic is a walk-in clinic embedded within Harborview Medical Center’s Madison Clinic. Mod Clinic provides walk-in HIV care and PrEP to persons throughout central Seattle.

South King County: Engage Health – Federal Way
Harborview Medical Center and Catholic Community Services (CCS) of Western WA are partnering to provide HIV prevention and care services in Federal Way, WA at the CCS Day Center. Services are available on a walk-in basis.
South King County: Engage Health – Kent
Harborview Medical Center and Catholic Community Services of Western WA are partnering to provide HIV prevention and care services in Kent, WA at the CCS Day Center. Services are available on a walk-in basis.
Outreach and engagement in low barrier services
- Archdiocesan Housing Authority: Partners with Harborview Medical Center to co-locate walk-in HIV prevention and care services in day center settings in Federal Way and Kent, WA. AHA also provides outreach to people at risk for or living with HIV in south King County to raise their awareness of the clinics, facilitate their engagement in services, and support linkage to housing and other community resources.
- Aurora Commons: Partners with Harborview Medical Center to co-locate walk-in HIV prevention and care services in a day center in north Seattle. Aurora Commons also provides outreach to people at risk for or living with HIV in north Seattle to raise their awareness of the clinic, facilitate their engagement in services, and support linkage to community resources.
- HIV Mobile Outreach Team: A partnership between University of Washington and Peer Washington, the HIV mobile team are partnering to provide outreach and Mobile HIV medical services to people who have fallen out of HIV care in King County, meeting them where they are at and providing support and services in the field.
- Peer Washington is providing peer support for the HIV mobile outreach team. The peer support specialist will be connecting with folks living with HIV who have fallen out of care to have conversations, link them to resources and services, and provide support.

Community Health Centers
Organizations participating in the EHE Health Care Collaborative offer appointments for PrEP and other HIV prevention and care services. Many of these organizations are also planning to offer walk-in access to HIV prevention and sexual health services in the near future. This list will be updated with new options for new walk-in services as they become available over time.
