Earth Month was epic—let’s keep the momentum going!

Earth Month brought big energy—and it’s just the start.

Last month, the Hazardous Waste Management Program teamed up with King County Parks and Rainier Avenue Radio to host Sweet Home Poetics, a live celebration of environmental justice through poetry and storytelling.

The event captured the power of community action, reminding us that protecting our health, homes, and environment isn’t about one day—it’s about what we choose to do every day

Now it’s your turn to keep the momentum alive.

The Hazardous Waste Management Program offers free workshops, classes, and events year-round to help you take simple, practical steps toward a healthier home and community. Learn safer ways to clean, garden naturally, and tackle home projects without harmful chemicals—all while protecting your family and the environment.

It’s easy to get started:

  • Connect with experts
  • Gain practical tips
  • Join a growing community of people taking action for a healthier King County
