Accepted at hazardous waste collection sites
Accepted bulbs include compact fluorescent (CFL) bulbs, neon lights, ultraviolet lamps, and Green Fluorescent bulbs and tubes. There is a limit of 10 bulbs, tubes, and lamps (combined) per vehicle, per visit.
Up to ten fluorescent lights can also be taken to an authorized LightRecycle Washington collection site. Find a light recycle location near you. For more than ten bulbs or lamps, contact EcoLights.
Put broken bulbs in a plastic bag or closed container and dispose of as hazardous waste.
- All containers must be 5 gallons or less
- Total waste limit: 50 gallons per trip
