Accepted at hazardous waste collection sites
Rechargeable e-cigarettes or other vape devices, and e-liquid waste should not be thrown in the regular trash or flushed down a toilet or sink.
Bring vape devices to the North Seattle, South Seattle, or Factoria hazardous waste collection sites for safe disposal. Vape devices are not accepted at the traveling Wastemobile or Auburn Wastemobile. Cannabis vape devices are not accepted.
Empty nicotine cartridges can be thrown in the regular trash.
Disposal restrictions:
- Limit 10 vape devices per customer per trip.
- Vape devices are only accepted at the fixed hazardous waste collection sites in North Seattle, South Seattle, and Factoria. The Auburn and traveling Wastemobiles will not accept vape devices. Click here for collection site details.
- Cannabis e-liquid or vape devices are not accepted at hazardous waste facilities. Check with the manufacturer or store that you purchased the liquid or device from for proper disposal.
