King County Community Collaborative (KC3)
Representing the Regional Family, Youth, System Partner Round Table (FYSPRT)
The KC3 is a forum for families, youth, and system partners to discuss the quality of local mental health services and participate in solving identified challenges to improve the system.
The KC3 is a part of the governing infrastructure of the Washington State Children's Behavioral Health System that supports the strengthening sustainable resources by providing community-based approaches to address the individual behavioral health needs of children, youth, and families.
Mission
Our mission is to create an inclusive space for our community to be heard. In sharing stories of lived experiences, we bring forward the needs, strengths, and opportunities of the current behavioral health system. By taking the challenges and addressing them collectively, we create system change and resolution.
Become a change agent in your community!
Youth and Family voices bring compassion, understanding, and inspiration to system change. Your voice matters and the King County Community Collaborative provides a safe space for you to be heard. We welcome system partners, family and youth, and community members who have lived experience with mental health or recovery services to assist in improving the system of care.
What do Family Youth System Partner Round Tables (FYSPRTs) do?
FYSPRTs serve as an integral part of Children's Behavioral Health Governance Structure that was adopted within the T.R. et al. v. Strange and Birch (originally Dreyfus and Porter) Settlement Agreement and informs and provides oversight for high-level policymaking, program planning, and decision-making. More information is available on the Washington State Health Care Authority’s FYSPRT webpages.
How do FYSPRTs work?
Through respectful partnerships, families, youth, systems, and communities collaborate, influence, and provide leadership to address challenges and barriers by promoting cohesive behavioral health services for children, youth, and families in Washington State.
FYSPRT members span across our communities!
Council Members are leaders within family-led and youth-guided organizations or programs representing or serving different constituencies and communities. Over time non-affiliated family and youth with deep experience in multiple systems and a desire to learn more about leadership and advocacy will be added to the council.
